Main Services

Domestic freight services.

Domestic freight transportation planned around your cargo, route and receiving requirements. Compare capacity, equipment and timing options, then coordinate the move with Prisma Freight.

Shipment planning priorities

Shipment-led planning

Start with the commodity, dimensions, weight and handling requirements.

Capacity that fits

Evaluate shared or dedicated capacity and equipment suitable for the load.

Connected coordination

Bring origin, destination, pickup readiness and receiving conditions into one plan.

Domestic Freight

Different shipments. The right approach.

Domestic freight services move goods between pickup and delivery locations within a country. The transportation approach depends on how much space the shipment needs, the equipment it requires and the conditions at each end of the route.

Prisma Freight serves as a logistics coordination partner. We review the shipment details and help align available transportation options with the load, rather than assuming every shipment belongs on the same equipment or follows the same schedule.

Planning the Move

Freight coordination built around the details.

The requirements of the shipment guide the transportation plan, from equipment selection through pickup and delivery coordination.

Capacity and equipment

Consider shipment volume, enclosed or open-deck loading, temperature requirements and available capacity.

Pickup and delivery conditions

Review dock access, operating hours, appointments, loading methods and accessorial needs before scheduling.

Timing and communication

Align freight-ready dates and requested receiving windows, with shipment-specific requirements confirmed before booking.

Routes & Geography

Domestic routes. Shipment-specific planning.

Domestic freight planning starts with the origin and destination, then the capacity, equipment and receiving conditions the shipment requires. This map provides U.S. geographic context; lane availability and transportation arrangements are reviewed for each load.

FAQ

Domestic freight questions.

What is the difference between FTL and LTL shipping?

Full truckload uses dedicated trailer capacity for one shipment. Less than truckload shares trailer space with other shipments and suits many smaller palletized loads. Shipment size, handling needs, loading access and timing determine which option fits; the service pages explain the requirements in more detail.

What information is needed for a domestic freight quote?

Provide the origin, destination, commodity, piece or pallet count, packaged dimensions, total weight and requested dates. Include dock access, appointments, loading methods and any temperature, handling or accessorial requirements.

Does the map confirm coverage or delivery timing?

No. The map is geographic context, not a live shipment display or a guarantee of service. Route feasibility, available capacity, equipment and pickup and delivery timing must be reviewed for the specific shipment before booking.
